Alex & Max | Tuffon Hall wedding

Buckle up folks, because this Tuffon Hall wedding blog is going to blow your socks off! Not least because you can feel palpable heat coming off the screen, such was the high temperature - and sizzling vibes - of Alex and Max’s roasting hot wedding day!

It was my first visit to shoot a wedding at Tuffon Hall, based in Sible Hedingham in North Essex, and I knew it wasn’t going to disappoint. Tuffon Hall is an exclusive wedding venue and in the grounds of a family-owned vineyard. Sadly the grapes weren’t in season yet for Alex and Max’s big day, so we didn’t venture to the vines, instead we stayed put in the more than ample barn and its surroundings.

This wedding was crazy good, with guests ready to get their party on, an ice cream van, and The Lighthouse Family.

I met up with Alex and her girls in the house next door to the main barn, where they’d stayed overnight and got ready for wedding biz that morning. They were pretty eager beavers, practically completely ready by the time I got to them! I should’ve known it was just because they wanted to get going, and get the party started! (More on this later.)

On site nearby, Max and the gents got ready in black tie, and greeted guests before the outdoor ceremony commenced. I kid ye not when I say it was an absolutely roasting July day, and their ceremony outside was super hot and sunny. Maybe that explains why Max kept crying? Take a leaf out of Max’s book gents, let it all out!

These two certainly knew how to party, and once the emotional ceremony was out of the way, the music was cranked up and people were ready to celebrate! Casper Clarke provided the fab entertainment during their drinks reception and dinner, belting out some tunes as everyone soaked up the summer sun. Even before dinner was served people were up on their tables!

Alex had a clear aesthetic for their wedding day and that was obvious throughout in the beautiful styling, incorporating warm copper tones and subtle neutral shades, it was absolutely * chef’s kiss * See below for the incredible flowers, tablescapes and signage. I loved all of it.

I think the best way to summarise A+M’s wedding at Tuffon Hall is to quote Alex’s dad’s speech: that it felt like it could’ve been an audition for Love Island. Beautiful people, sunshine and good times.

After a fairly raucous afternoon, Alex and Max headed onto the dancefloor for their first dance to The Lighthouse Family’s ‘High’, which I’ve got to tell you I really wasn’t expecting, but it certainly was a crowd pleaser!

What a day. More like this please!

What they said:

“Sally was amazing from start to finish. Photography was one thing I struggled to find when it came to suppliers as I knew exactly what I wanted with the outcome of our photos. I came across Sally’s website and knew exactly she was the photographer for us. I love the warm tones created on all the photos. We’re both so happy with how they have turned out. Thank you for capturing out big day for us.”
