Anna & Cameron | Talbooth wedding
If you’re looking for the quintessential end of summer English wedding, then you’ve come to the right place! Anna and Cameron’s late summer wedding at Milsoms Talbooth in Dedham, was beaut from start to finish, and you wouldn’t even notice it bucketed down with rain for some of the day - I challenge you to spot any!
I’d had lots of fun with Anna and Cameron when we met up for their pre-wedding shoot on a beach near Mersea Island, so I knew their wedding day was going to be fab. Anna and her girls got ready at the cottage owned by Milsoms next door to Talbooth, and Cameron and the chaps got ready at A+C’s home. After a slight hiccup with the vintage wedding car (seriously, I don’t think I’ve done a wedding where there hasn’t been a hiccup with a vintage car) Anna and her dad made it to the church in Ardleigh for the ceremony.
There was no such hitch in transportation for the newlyweds as they headed back to Talbooth; it’s famous for its boat providing a lift to the newly-married couple, and so Anna and Cameron sailed into their reception as husband and wife. Drinks and canapes were enjoyed on the lawn before din din, and as everyone headed into the marquee, the heavens opened, and boy did it rain! However, A+C were not to be deterred and we managed to get some gorgeous shots of them around the grounds before their evening kicked off.
