relaxed, modern, authentic
I specialise in relaxed, modern, authentic wedding photography and have been shooting weddings for over seven years.
I pride myself on my easy-going, professional nature and I aim to keep the photography element of your wedding as stress-free and zero cringe as possible. My weddings have been featured in some of the UK’s leading wedding online and print publications, including British Vogue, so you can be assured I have a bit of a grasp of this wedding photography milark. I’m professional, discreet and would say 90% of the time on a wedding day, you won’t even know I’m there. Boom.
Outside of work? When I’m not capturing weddings I spend my time at home in Chelmsford, Essex with my husband, our 3 year-old daughter and our black Labrador, Cooper.
I love all things creative, especially films and music, and I’m sport-mad too, especially football, tennis and F1. Sometimes I photograph football too; in 2024 I began photographing English Premier League teams alongside some non-league teams.
My style & approach
WHAT ARE YOU GETTING?
For starters, someone who has shot over 300 of my own weddings.
My style and approach to weddings reflects my nature: relaxed, easygoing, honest. My photos are creative and modern, and I capture moments in a discreet, unobtrusive way.
So if you’re into gimmicks, like grooms jumping in the air clicking their heels together or dinosaurs Photoshopped into the background, we’re not going to be a good match.
I also don’t take lots of stiff, formal group shots – you know the ones – because you’re booking me for my natural style.
I’ll be there for prep, I’ll be there for the ceremony, and you can bet I’ll be there for the party! I don’t disappear as soon as the first dance is over. Instead I’ll be keeping one eye on the sunset for those dreamy golden hour photos, getting pics of you doing Jägerbombs at the bar and photographing granny twerking on the dancefloor.

My couples!
My typical couples tend to be fun-loving individuals, who are as keen to get amazing photographs from their day as I am. I like couples with a sense of adventure, and more importantly, a sense of humour.
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?

KIND WORDS
"We had so much fun on our wedding day - the pictures are more than we could ever have hoped for"
ABI + BEN
1. What do we have to pay, and when?
To secure me for your wedding day, I only need a deposit and signed terms. The deposit is 25% and the remaining balance is due on the first day of your wedding month, no later than 14 days before your wedding day.
2. We might want an album, can we decide later?
Absolutely! If an album isn’t included in your package, you can choose to get one anytime. Sometimes my couples order an album once they’ve received their final images, even if it’s a few weeks afterwards. Albums are a brilliant way to showcase and enjoy your favourite images, rather than forget them on your memory stick.
3. What happens if we want to book?
I squeal with excitement. After that, in order to secure my services on your date, I require a 25% deposit (usually by BACS) and signed terms. I send you my terms and conditions by email for you to read, complete and return, and these include my bank details for the deposit.
After that, I like to keep in touch with you, usually by email, between now and the big day. If you’ve got one, we’ll look to arrange your pre-wedding shoot at a convenient time, and discuss plans as necessary. You’re welcome to follow me on social media (FB and Insta are best) to see what I get up to in between.
4. Do you charge for travel?
As I’m based in Essex, all weddings within the Essex area are not subject to any additional travel costs. I do charge a travel fee for weddings outside of the county, and for weddings that are a little further afield, I may also apply a modest accommodation charge too. So if your wedding is happening outside of Essex, I’ll discuss travel charges with you as applicable.
5. Will you photograph the little details, and family groups?
I’ll always photograph the little details you’ve carefully arranged for your wedding day, like the table decorations and the table plan, as long as they’re available. And yes, I definitely do group shots, as parentals usually demand them! If you want them, I photograph 8 groups or less, as you both spend ages bogged down in stiff, formal photos whilst all your guests are drinking and having fun – and that’s not what drew you to my photography, right? So if you want more than 8-10 groups…. I’m not your girl.
6. What if you haven’t photographed at our venue before?
There are literally hundreds of wedding venues in Essex, Suffolk and across the UK, with new ones popping up all the time. If for some reason I haven’t photographed there before, rest assured I do all the necessary prep before the day to ensure I know all the best spots to photograph.
7. Do you have insurance?
Wedding forums are obsessed with encouraging you to ask this question! Fear not – I am fully insured with professional indemnity and public liability insurance. The question then becomes, do you have wedding insurance?
8. Do we have to do a pre-wedding shoot? If we don’t have it, will you take some money off?
If it’s included in your package, it’s not mandatory to do the pre-wedding shoot, but from previous experience, my couples will tell you it’s a great opportunity to get out all the nervous giggles. Plus it’s a nice dry run for you to see how I operate, and for me to see what you’re like in front of my camera! At the end you get some lovely photographs and everyone’s a winner.
If you choose not to have the pre-wedding shoot, sadly no money gets knocked off, as it’s actually a bonus for me to get together with you before the big day. Nice try, though.
