Grace & Andy | Channels

Let’s go back to another super hot, sunny, hazy and dreamy day in summer 2021, for Grace and Andy’s big day.

Another couple who moved their wedding from September 2020 to July 2021, I think these guys were expecting a somewhat cooler day when they initially planned their wedding, but Mother Nature had other ideas - it was a scorcher!

I started the day at Grace’s parents’ house in Coggeshall, which was just up the road from the church where the ceremony was taking place. It was just how I like bridal prep on wedding mornings, a fun hubbub of activity, with hair and makeup on the go and dad pouring out the fizz. Andy also got ready at his own parents’ house before making the journey over to the church. They’d arranged for a classic Aston Martin to take Grace to the church and also for the new Mr & Mrs’ trip back to the reception venue, which was Channels in Chelmsford.

I think we can all agree that Grace’s dress has the absolute *wow* factor; it was so nice to see something a bit more unique. One of my fave moments of their day was when the music ran out in the church as Grace began her walk up the aisle to meet Andy, and I’m not sure how that even happened but it was a great ice-breaker for any nerves!

A quick jaunt up the A12 back to Channels barn in Chelmsford for the reception, and they partied late into the night as the warm weather afforded one of those lush times where guests could mill outside well into the evening.

I like shooting at Channels because it’s such a lovely barn venue, the staff are always really lovely, and it’s 5 minutes from my house. Oh and I can get a McDonalds drive-thru on the way home, yessss! The wedding was also really nice. Big love
