Stephanie + Chris | Bruisyard Hall
If you’re looking for a real tour of the Bruisyard Hall wedding experience, and you love beautiful details, then you’ve come to the right place. If you’re thinking of, or have booked Bruisyard Hall for your wedding, then hopefully my blog of super couple Steph and Chris’ day will give you everything you need!
We started the day by looking out of the window, quite a lot. It was July, and we were expecting a roasting hot summer’s day, and a long-planned outdoor ceremony. Weather spoiler alert: the ceremony did not take place outdoors. The morning/mid-afternoon rain did curtail the dreams of an outdoor ceremony, but it didn’t dampen any spirits.
Bride Steph got ready with her girls upstairs in Bruisyard’s famous suite which is super dreamy for prep photos (lots of space and lots of light, I love it!) while groom Chris paced around downstairs in between checking on his fleet of beloved classic cars. More on that later.
Lynsey of Dear Luna Florals provided some fab florals for the ceremony, now inside the barn, and some emotional vows ensued. Though the rain had stopped, the weather changed into the craziest humidity I have ever experienced at a wedding, it was sweltering. Steph and Chris had always planned to drive back down Bruisyard’s famous drive after their ceremony in one of Chris’ classic cars, so we hot-footed it back up to the house for their confetti and the drive moment they’d hoped for.
The styling at their wedding day was just dreamy, and a real testament to how beautifully and effectively you can dress Bruisyard’s ceremony barn. The attention to detail was 👌🏼 Once the speeches were over, we legged it back up the drive again (petition for Bruisyard Hall to get a golf buggy for this journey), and got some gorge couple photos up by the manor house and as the sun was setting.
It’s not hard to be a fan of photographing weddings at Bruisyard Hall, every time I’ve been it’s always been a mega day, and I love capturing your weddings there. Steph and Chris’ day was no exception. More weddings like this please!
What they said:
“Sally photographed our wedding in July and we also had a pre-wedding session with her back in March. From the moment we met her she made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. We’d never had photos taken before and were quite nervous, but she honestly made it so easy and enjoyable! Sally also shared such a handy tips booklet with suggested timings and helpful suggestions for the day which was also amazing!
She’s honestly incredible at capturing all the little moments you don’t even realise are happening, and the photos are more beautiful than we could have imagined. All our guests who’ve seen them have said how much they love them too. We didn’t want lots of ‘formal’ and ‘posed’ photos, we just wanted someone who could capture the memories and emotions of the day and Sally did that and more!
If you want beautiful, natural photos that really capture the best memories of the day, Sally is the one. Couldn’t recommend her more!”
