The Best of 2025

Steady yourself, because it’s the very best of wedding photography from me in 2025, and everything in between! What a year it’s been, photographing your wedding days, and as ever, my wedding couples are the best humans everrrrr.

I bloody love putting together my photographic end of year review, because in the hard autumn and winter months when I have an empty bank balance and question all my life choices, this is a timely reminder that being a wedding photographer actually is the best job in the world! 🥰

2025 has been a wild ride, professionally and personally, and I’ll be sharing my fave photos from weddings over the last 12 months. Well done everyone for hanging on in there in 2025. I photographed weddings across the UK, including Essex, Suffolk, London, Surrey, Somerset and beyond, and I adore the variety that shooting around the country (and beyond!) brings.

Let’s jump straight into the wedding photos and take a whistlestop tour of the last year!

After a busy start to the new year doing engagement shoots, I got straight down to biz in February for a Valentine’s Day wedding at gothic Layer Marney Tower for Holly and Chris. Holly wore a sensational silver Teuta Matoshi dress and it sparkled up a dream in the low winter sunshine ✨

Fast forward to springtime and it was the shape of things to come: a bonanza of joy-filled, happy times - and you know I’ll be there to capture it all. OUT with miserable looking wedding photos, IN with joy I say!

Dogs at weddings were involved in some capacity across the year; whether they were in attendance at your wedding day, or remembered in some shape or form, I loved seeing your beloved doggos. My own elderly labrador Cooper turned 13 this year and is reaching the end stages of his life here on earth with us, so I particularly loved seeing how you celebrated your hounds on your big day. 🐾

Will 2026 be the first year I have a cat at a wedding? Answers on a postcard.

The last 3 years have been so rainy and wet and I was literally down on my knees praying that 2025 would give us some decent weather - and it did!! Although I must’ve checked the weather forecast several hundred times before Tom and Adam’s gorgeous outdoor wedding ceremony in London at beautiful Bingham Riverhouse, on the River Thames. Rain was forecast all week and I WAS NOT GOING TO ACCEPT IT! Imagine my relief when a small passing shower in the morning was replaced by a pretty hot and sunny day on the banks of Richmond. Just look at it:

It wasn’t my only trip to London in 2025; Phoebe and Conor’s East London wedding in September was just all kinds of mega, including a fun double decker from their ceremony to reception venue, and their first dance to Texas’ ‘Inner Smile’. I loved their day, so more London weddings in 2026 please!

While I loved capturing wedding days in London, I had my mainstay of barn and country house weddings across Essex and Suffolk - as ever, the apparent bulk of my work - and you’ll see Blake Hall and Chippenham Park pop up on more than one occasion. I photographed at Blake Hall 4 times in 2025 and several times at Chippenham Park too; I’m a recommended supplier at both venues and I really enjoy photographing there every year. In 2025 I was added to another preferred supplier list for an Essex wedding venue, and I’m now a trusted supplier at the following:

Blake Hall | Chippenham Park | Easton Grange | The Compasses at Pattiswick | Tuffon Hall | Leez Priory

Sandwiched in between my crazy summer wedding schedule was the small matter of the England women’s football team playing at the European Championships. You probs already know I photograph professional football, and my passion lies with the women’s game, so you can imagine my excitement all summer long! I was gutted that the Lionesses opening match against France was on the same day as one of my weddings (sorry Pippa and Callum) but seeing as England lost their opening match, I wasn’t too sad to have missed it.

And it was the Lionesses semi-final match against Italy where I (very inconveniently) needed to be in London at the same time, where one of my stand-out memories of 2025 was created. After missing the first half where we’d gone 1-0 down, on the train home I nervously watched the second half on my mobile phone, buffering in and out, and as Michelle Agyemang scored the dramatic equaliser, me and the guy sat behind me (also watching on his phone) both leapt into the air on a deathly silent carriage - me accidentally punching the overhead rack in the process. Ouch. I regret nothing.

I watched all the Lionesses’ remaining matches all the way up to the final and, we all know how that went:

Happy days. Here’s some fun stats from my 2025 season:

I finished 2025 in style at beautiful Pennard House in Somerset for Emily and Bruce’s festive wedding day, and they really were a couple of superstars. As ever, your wedding days are what you make them; the energy and vibes that you put out on your wedding day are reflected and returned in spades by your guests, and Emily and Bruce were a great example of that. Muchos fun and laughter all day!

I never like to put a label on what type of wedding photography I produce; it’s part documentary photography (snapping those moments exactly as they happened), part you-stand-here-and-I’ll-take-a-photo, part piss-your-pants-funny moments and part sponsored by tequila rosé. I’ll let you decide which one is which.

So that’s a wrap on 2025, here’s a look at some of my favourite wedding photos taken in landscape orientation over the last 12 months! In 2025 I shot over 30 weddings across Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, London, Surrey, Somerset and I love the variety they bring. They may not all be the glossy couple shots you’re bombarded with on social media, it’s a joyful selection of some of the images that stand out to me. When you take tens of thousands of photos, it’s hard to narrow down the faves, but I think these just might be them. Joy, fun, giddiness, nervousness, all the emotions in equal measure. Thank you class of 2025, you bloody beauts!

You made it to the end! If you’d like to see some more of the best images from my 2025 weddings, but this time in portrait orientation and with some catchy music, check out my Best of 2025 reel HERE.
