Yasmine + Luke | The Tudor Barn Belstead wedding
Yasmine and Luke’s big day at The Tudor Barn, Belstead had all of the elements that made for a wicked wedding: Family, friends, sunshine, booze, a Land Rover, and of course, a dog. That, and I knew it was going to be a good day, because it was my birthday too.
There were so many memories from their day which made it completely unique: Graci the Labrador took centre stage for a period of time, before she went home for a well-earned rest in the heat; Luke’s wedding band looking a touch tight on his finger in the afternoon heat (looking like it was cutting off circulation); wicked table decorations that included table numbers made from copper piping, courtesy of Luke’s heating business, and notably Yasmine’s wedding car arriving with a complete flat tyre! Cue this photographer giving the bride and her dad a lift to the Tudor Barn! Bizarrely this is not the first time I’ve driven a bride to a venue, it happens more than you think.
The warm, sunny weather made for a perfectly relaxed day, and the happy couple plus their guests enjoyed a long day in the sunshine surrounded by the Tudor Barn’s beautiful grounds. I did manage to steal Yas and Luke away for some photographs once the sun had gone down a little, unfortunately kicking over Luke’s full beer in the process – you can enjoy his unamused expression when you scroll below.
The speeches were a mix of clear pride and emotion from Yasmine’s dad, through to Luke’s signature dry delivery and an insight into how he eventually secured a date with Yas (“hot blonde girl in sparkly diamante top”). The two best men gave contrasting but equally funny and memorable speeches, poking fun at the groom’s former years before he took up running, and of course Graci the Labrador got a mention.
As the sun eventually went down, the drinks flowed and the party really got going, with some excellent musical accompaniment and some questionable dance moves. It was certainly a day to remember guys, thank you for letting me capture it.
