Karis & Alex | Stanlake Park

I’m so happy to be bringing you this immaculate wedding at Stanlake Park vineyard in Berkshire, because it’s an absolute beaut! Sometimes before a wedding I can be unsure of what type of a day it will be; as soon as I arrived at Stanlake Park for Karis and Alex’s wedding, I new it was going to be absolute VIBES!

After a terrifying early dash to Tesco because I’d forgotten my mascara and I couldn’t risk frightening guests, it was going to be a warm and sunny day over at Stanlake Park and its vineyard, which sadly hadn’t sprouted any grapes for us yet in late May.

Karis and the girls were getting ready next to Stanlake Park’s coach house where the ceremony was being held later. The tunes and the fizz were pumping, and I was happy to be joined by Dan of Made To Last Films who was filming alongside me.

Alex and the gents got ready at a nearby hotel - well, nearly all of them were, as one of the groomsmen managed to forget his trousers, which I think we can agree is a rookie mistake on a wedding day. So Alex and nearly all the chaps got dressed and eventually headed to the venue.

If you’re someone who has a keen eye for wedding styling then you will, like me, be absolutely in love with the styling put together by Sarah and Jo of the wonderful Ever After Weddings, who put together the flowers and venue styling like an absolute boss. Macrame flower arch incorporating a neon sign? Me likey a lot.

After the ceremony, drinks in the courtyard and some photos, it was time for din din. Karis and Alex played to their strengths and got the crowd suitably whooped up by walking into their reception to Basement Jaxx’s ‘Bingo Bango’ - I implore you to put it on and listen to it immediately for some super positive vibes! The crowd was suitably whooped.

During the speeches, Alex invited everyone to join him for a toast with what looked like a mini beer shot that had some heavy cream incorporated into it… needless to say it looked like it must have tasted absolutely vile because on a hot day, those now-warm shots didn’t go down a charm. The reactions were priceless (as you’ll see below)!! IN fact I was so scared someone was going to immediately vomit to the side, I jumped out of my crouched photo position near the top table. Thankfully all was well but you can judge for yourself by the reactions below!

The weather was super sunny for the whole day so we grabbed some golden hour shots before the party started… and boy did these guys know how to party! The dancefloor was packed from the off, and it didn’t subside for as long as I was around, before I headed home to good old Essex.

Karis and Alex, what a couple of legends you are. What a couple. What a wedding!!
