Romy + Adam | Leez Priory Wedding
Let me start by saying this Leez Priory wedding does absolute numbers on my Pinterest 😂 And when you scroll on, you’ll see why. So much beautiful wedding inspiration here, from bride Romy’s sensational outfit (it had wings), Adam’s fab dark green outfit complete with velvet jacket, beautiful florals, a subtle nod to Adam’s love of cricket, and much more. Let’s get into it!
Romy and Adam were the first couple I met face-to-face for a consultation instead of by video chat, since the pandemic. I’ll be honest, after our meeting at a pub close by to my house, I was so giddy with excitement at their plans I was worried I’d over-egged my enthusiasm. Thank goodness they decided to book me shortly afterwards because I’d have been gutted to miss out.
Their Leez Priory wedding was a one of a double header of Essex weddings for me that weekend, and I saw some of the same guests at both weddings which was fun! Like many a 2024 wedding, the weather didn’t always play ball and we were bestowed with some super high winds for some of the day. Even if there was a tinge of disappointment about the weather, R+A never showed it.
At prep Romy was helped into her dress by her mum, and my flabber was fully ghasted when we saw the finished article. That dress by Made With Love via Halo & Wren - Romy had sneakily sent me a Whatsapp photo of her fitting many months before - it was perfection.
There were plenty of nuanced details throughout their day, including the use of green which was Adam’s mum’s favourite colour. One of my favourite details was the cricket-themed table plan and table names! I know a decent bit about cricket but I’d never heard of a dibbly dobbly.
With a bit of evening drizzle keeping us from partying outside, I rounded off my evening with some creative photos in one of Leez Priory’s sitting rooms, and these couple photos turned out to be some of my (and their) fave photos from the day.
They are among my biggest supporters as much as a supplier/couple relationship can be, and I appreciate them so much. So get your chops around this whistlestop tour of their day; us wedding photographers can too often say our weddings are fantastic but this one really was.
What they said:
“We can’t put into words just how much we recommend this superstar of a photographer nor how appreciative we are! From the very first look at her website, we had a hunch Sally was the one we wanted for our wedding. Her humour and professionalism mixed with the pure talent capturing us and our favourite people is honestly next level! She and our videographer had a magnificent plan B for some of our couple portraits when the weather decided golden hour wasn’t going to be the vibe- these ended up being some of our absolute favourites!
Sally feels like a friend we’ve known forever and jelled so well with our other suppliers (and pretty much every single person at our wedding!). We received our sneak peeks just after the wedding and we were so blown away!
If there’s anything you do for yourself or your wedding, it should be booking Sally to capture your day- I promise you won’t regret it 🥰”
