Hannah & Kieran | East London wedding

Bride with sunglasses on dancing with her husband

I am turning the heat up to 100 on the blog today, with this absolutely fire London wedding! 🔥

After half a year of pretty constant rain, we were overdue some better weather, and it looks like it was all going to be delivered at once on Hannah and Kieran’s late June wedding day, as the temperature soared and we all baked under the East London sun. Hot - in all senses - is an understatement!

Hannah and Kieran had enjoyed a rollercoaster journey up to their wedding day, having added two further children to their family since their original wedding date, which had eventually got cancelled due to that naughty pandemic back in 2020. As their familial circumstances changed, along with the obligatory house purchase at the same time as getting married, so did their wedding plans. They’d opted for a local church wedding followed by a party (and boy, it was a party) at The Duke, in Wanstead, East London.

2023 was the year for outfit changes and this was no different - Hannah changing into her second outfit after the wedding ceremony, which originally was her mum’s own wedding outfit from decades earlier! We love a bit of vintage. How freakin’ chic does she look in the blue?

They say it takes a village to help raise a child and it was fab to see Hannah’s friends take charge of looking after their 3 children throughout the day so that she and Kieran could fully immerse themselves in this wedding milark. Friendship goals right there.

I left them partying away as the sun finally set, where I cranked the air con up in my car and collapsed at home in a heap in a cold shower. Reminder to myself to never complain about the lack of hot weather ever again.

What they said:

“I chose Sally to be our (my) wedding photographer because of the stunning photos she took of us at my cousins wedding where I was bridesmaid, and the fact that she seemed to know exactly what we should all be doing when no one else did.

And oh my god she did not disappoint. The photos she took at our wedding were absolutely off the scale incredible. She captured the most beautiful photos of moments that lasted mere seconds in real life and now I have them on film forever.

She organised the group photos that I asked for perfectly but once the reception got underway no one even noticed where she was, or that she was even there, which meant all of the photos were so relaxed and natural.

If you are on the fence about hiring Sally for your wedding photos I promise you will not regret it.”
