Carrie & Mark | Chippenham Park wedding
I’m so happy to share this wedding with you because the world needs to see it! Carrie and Mark’s Chippenham Park wedding had it all really, including the most amount of heat on one of the hottest days of the year! Believe it or not this is September - talk about Indian summer.
Fans of beautiful florals, exquisite details and styling, classic elegance and amazing photography (!) won’t be disappointed here. You’re in for a treat.
I’d already got to know Carrie and Mark a little bit earlier in the summer when we’d met up for their pre-wedding shoot. Pre-wedding shoots are such a great opportunity to get your nerves out and have a little practice in front of the camera before your wedding day, and these two were practically professionals by the end of it, so I knew we’d have a good time at the wedding.
They decided to marry at the local church in Chippenham, on the Suffolk / Cambridgeshire border, before heading back to lovely Chippenham Park for their reception. As I mentioned, it was pretty sweltering so we were grateful for the air con in the bridal suite at Chippenham Park!
I was so happy to hear that they’d decided to have some colourful florals, because for me a pop of colour at weddings really transforms photos, and you’ll never regret injecting some beautiful blues, yellows, corals etc and thankfully Carrie and Mark’s flowers had all of it. Feather & Ferns provided the stunning florals. Also I bloody love a double-breasted waistcoat and Mark ticked off another fave wedding element of mine here ☑️ Double breasted waistcoats for the win!
We did a handful of couple portraits just before dinner, and then some in between starter and mains, trying to take advantage of the cooler weather and more flattering sunlight. I’m so grateful to couples like these who are happy to come out and get their photos at these times, because it is really, really worth it. You’ll see for yourself below.
