Laura & Sam | Blake Hall wedding
Are you sitting comfortably? You might want to grab yourself a cuppa or your preferred beverage of choice before we delve into this beast of a wedding, because it’s time to show you Laura-Jane and Sam’s epic day at Blake Hall from last summer!
I say summer - I’ve mentioned before that 2023 was a bit topsy-turvy in terms of weather, and although it was dry for most of the day, Laura and Sam’s day at Blake Hall wasn’t the hottest June day I’ve ever experienced! But that was only in terms of the temperature…
Both LJ and Sam got ready with their respective parties on site at Blake Hall, and although I might be a bit biased (because I’m a recommended supplier at Blake Hall), but it’s so lush to have both partners able to get ready on site at a venue! It makes my job so much easier, I’m not going to lie. Laura and her girls stayed overnight in Blake Hall’s cottage and made full use of it up to ceremony time, while Sam and the chaps were close by in the second cottage.
This wedding day nearly had the kitchen sink, it felt like there were so many incredible elements to it, and I’m so grateful to Laura and Sam for being so adventurous, patient and kind as they indulged me and Charlie from Millen Films to capture them letting their hair down and kicking off a wild party! (see more below.)
This is one of those weddings that gave me a lump in my throat on more than one occasion, and it was so lovely to hear so many people mentioning and honouring the absent loved ones who would’ve absolutely loved to have been present at this wedding day. Sorry Laura for including so many crying photos - there were a lot of tears to be fair!
Alongside plenty of tears, both happy and sad, there was an extraordinary amount of kissing, even I can recognise that as someone who includes a fair amount of kissing photos in my work! But it wasn’t just the bride and groom leading the way in the kissing stakes, which you’ll see below.
I’m so delighted to bring you this wedding because it really was absolutely top tier, from the beautiful venue Blake Hall with its stunning barn and grounds, to the lovely, thoughtful details (wedding cakes with childhood cake photos as toppers etc), fab floristry and the all-round adventurous nature which really does sum up Laura and Sam. Thank you. I’ve just about recovered….!
