Natasha + George | Wheat Field engagement shoot

What happens when you hang on all summer to have your photos taken in a gloriously summery wheat field, only to find the field has been cut before you get there? Well you just soldier on anyway, and get some beautiful images in the gorgeous golden summer evening sunshine instead.

Natasha and George are currently my longest-serving booking, after I met Natasha at a wedding fair nearly two years ago, so I feel like their wedding has been a long time coming! After patiently waiting all summer to get some snaps in a wheat field, which Natasha had set her heart on, the rain delayed us on one occasion, and by the time we’d rescheduled their engagement shoot, all the wheat had been cut! Not to be deterred these guys came over to the fields near my house in Chelmsford, as I knew the sunset would be special, whether there was waist-height wheat or not. As it happened, it was the perfect backdrop for this pair of dudes, who are possibly the most affable, easy-going people you could have the pleasure of meeting.

Natasha and George’s wedding is only a few days away at Orsett Hall, Essex, and I am so looking forward to capturing their day. Make sure you follow my pages to see the photographs from when they tie the knot, but in the meantime enjoy a selection of pics from their glorious golden hour jaunt to Broomfield:
