Hannah + Simon | Copdock Hall wedding
Now I didn’t say this to Hannah and Simon before their big day, but every time I’d shot at Copdock Hall previously it had rained 🙈 so I was keeping everything crossed we’d have dry weather for their autumn wedding. And…. success!
I met up with Hannah and the girls in the morning as they got ready at Copdock Hall. If you haven’t been before, Copdock Hall is an Elizabethan barn wedding venue on the Suffolk/Essex border, and you can check out my other Copdock weddings HERE
I should have known the venue would be dressed really beautifully, particularly the florals and table decorations, as bride Hannah works for Olivia Burton who are famed for their delicate floral style. Naomi from Rose and Berry really pulled the flowers out of the bag with some wicked autumnal colours, and even some cheeky pampas in urns for venue styling, which worked really well. Also, the moon gate dressed with flowers – swoon!
Despite a bit of a rainy run-up, thankfully it stayed dry on the day, so everyone enjoyed drinks outside the barn after the ceremony; I even managed to sneak in some photographs down in Copdock’s vineyards with the new Mr and Mrs – though it was pretty wet! Thank you guys for humouring me to get some snaps amongst the vines!
Following a really busy and tiring summer wedding season, it’s always hard to know what to expect with autumn weddings, but this one was an absolute beauty – and all credit to Hannah and Simon. Not only are they the friendliest people you will meet, all their friends and family were really fun and welcoming too, which makes my job of pointing the camera at them so much more rewarding.
