Flavia + Mikey | Thaxted engagement
What happens when you’re trying to take photographs of two motorbike enthusiasts, when a group of motorbikes zoom past behind me? Not much attention paid to the camera, that’s what. But I didn’t even care, because ultimately that’s what makes photographs go from ‘good’ to ‘great’, and Flavia and Mikey made for great photo subjects!
We met up for their pre-wedding shoot on quite possibly the coldest Spring day, battling a bit of drizzle before taking a wander around picturesque Thaxted, a historic town that boasts plenty of curious little spots for photos. Although these guys live in Bristol, they kindly returned back to the Home Counties so we could catch up, and also stop by family. It was great to hear more about their plans for what sounds like a ruddy epic wedding day at beautiful Lanwades Hall, Newmarket, in early May. Fingers crossed the weather is quite a few more degrees warmer than our afternoon in Thaxted – I think I’ve just about thawed out!
Here’s some of my faves, and don’t forget to follow along on social media to see some early images from their May wedding:
