Rosie + Alfie | Chippenham Park Wedding
There’s so much to love about this Chippenham Park wedding, it would be criminal to not get it on my blog and share it with you! So here it is: Rosie and Alfie’s dreamy summer wedding at Suffolk wedding venue Chippenham Park.
When I first spoke with Rosie and Alfie after they enquired with me, they spoke about some of their friends having weddings abroad and they wanted a destination wedding vibe in the UK for their day. Well, as you’ll see when you scroll below, it definitely met that feel, as the sun shone all day, starting with an outdoor ceremony, warm sunny weather all day, culminating in a sweaty, pulsating dancefloor complete with sax player and vibes to match.
Rosie and her girls got ready at a stunning AirBnB about 15 minutes from the venue, and if you know me you’ll know I 100% endorse you all clubbing together for a light and airy AirBnB for your prep rather than a dingy hotel. It suited her and her bridal party perfectly. This wedding was at the height of wedding season and there’s nothing I love better when arriving to bridal prep than a really good bunch of bridesmaids. As I approached the front door, before having to knock with my heavy bags in tow, I was greeted by one in the best possible way: “Hi Sally, come in, my name’s Lucia and if you need anything just me know.” - Folks, this is how you bridesmaid. I appreciated that approach so much.
Alfie and the gents also got ready nearby, with time for a couple of pints, some gifts, and some photos before heading to Chippenham Park.
The ceremony and marquee space was beautifully decorated by the ever-talented Becky of Feather and Ferns, and the floral arrangements really did elevate the ceremony space next to the lake. After saying their “I Dos” it was a party atmosphere from start to finish, with the vibes from the couple and guests to match. As ever, this was a great example where your wedding guests will reflect and return the energy you bring to your wedding day.
After their emotional speeches (and some crazy magic tricks!) we took some time to get some absolutely belting photos at golden hour, and when the sun had long gone down I left R+A striking up cigars and sparklers. Legend has it they’re still partying right now.
There’s about a zillion photos on this blog so fingers crossed you make it to the bottom, but this really is such a great example of a dreamy, modern, summer wedding day, I hope you’ll take the time to look through the whistlestop tour of their day, I loved it so much. It was a banger, there’s no escaping it!
